There you go again "Whoever does not receive as a little child cannot enter the kingdom of God"
In short if you don't think like me you are less then me and so sets the stage for all kinds of pain and discomfort.
"When Faith turns to sight it will be here and it will be soon"
Is this some kind of scare tactic? You better watch out the big guy is coming down here and only my club will not be cast into a flaming hole?
Good people can exist without the "Red Tape" Tim. Useful lives can be lived without all your waking thoughts being spent figuring out meaning in bible text.

"being good" has nothing to do with it. You can't earn a place in 'the club' as you put it.
Receiving the gift of forgiveness is a prerequsite to entering the Kingdom, but it IS for everyone, not just for a chosen few. You can't say you haven't been invited to the party! It's childlike faith that gains entrance, but those who remain outside the gate do so at their own choosing, not His.
Jesus IS the answer even if you're too dumb to know the question; AND His Way, His Truth and His Life is where the real journey begins. All trails lead to our knees before the King of Kings no matter who you are; some of us just happen to get there sooner than others. Does that make me a better person? No! It is a fact that He has forgiven all of us, so my acceptance and receipt of this fact only makes me more appreciative at this moment; but you can always catch up!
The fact that I don't think like you doesn't cause me pain or discomfort. If you are experiencing pain or discomfort you might try Tylenol first; then when all else fails, call upon Jesus! He answers all who call upon Him.
