I understand that the Left Behind series that was adapted to the big screen a few years back from the popular novels of the same name are going to undergo a Hollywood boost. The first run was made with a relatively low budget but because of the wide appeal and growing market for apocolyptic movies, the next generation should be a big draw at the box office.

Like the Passion of the Christ that was produced by Mel Gibson, it is bringing forth a timeless message in a modern way that will give skeptics some good food for thought.

The problem is that showing people the Truth on the silver screen only makes it glitter and I believe the old adage, "all that glitters..." can even lead to a dulling of the collective senses because "it" (Truth) viewed through the eyes of the masses is then compared to the glitter of satan's lies (kind of like how the pharoah's magicians in Egypt mimicked the power weilded by Moses' rod during the great plagues). The people who were already leaning in the right direction were convinced, but the heart of the Pharoah was hardened.

The actual proof that confirms the Truth that sets the captives free comes not by its depiction in another more convincing form, but through a simple child like belief and acceptance of what has already been written.

Repent and believe the gospel is still the way that leads to eternal life.
