First of all- i would just like to say that it really sucks that they are changing the rules- and now i will never have a chance at beating mike in # of times qualified. *tear*

anyway:
What is the future of policy debate (especially in Evansville)? More specifically: cx in evansville is going down hill even without the rule change. i don't see the rule change having that much of an effect an evansville, because teams can still compete locally and at state, etc. without competing at districts.

Will there be anyone left that know's how to debate intrinsicness permutations? yes, just not me.

Will everyone go to IU debate camp? people that only want to do well in IN will, but it won't help outside of IN.

Who will win districts (both of them)? in our district- Amy/Nirav, then one of logansports novi teams from this year. (i don't plan on competing at debate districts, because i think i have a better chance at doing well in fx and enjoy it more. nothing is final though, it depends on how next year goes and who my partner is.)

Will there ever be another Evansville team in state finals (there has only been one before...)? Since i'm not going to districts, state will be my focus. i am determined to do well at state, but i'm not sure if final round is realistic. Amy/Nirav should do pretty well, but i'm not sure if they'll make it to state finals, just because of upsets.

Will there ever be a topic like Russia again? no, my debate partner said the topics are becoming more and more ld- and that i won't see any more topics like WMD or Russia.

Is every debater going to turn towards speech? no. some might change to ld so they can stay in speech though.
