Here's a message posted by Nighthawk that scrolled off the board some time ago:

(post begin)
I've read of at least two people stating their intention to leave UBF due to what they've found out here. One was Blessed Scarlet. I've also heard of two or three Northeastern Illinois U. students who also left UBF after visiting this site. I probably knew some of them, and they may have been friends, but I am glad for them. I hope they don't lose their young faith because of what they experienced in Chicago UBF. Has this site caused any more departures from Chicago UBF that people have heard of? Someone reports that Emily Wexler, the shepherdess from New Jersey, "ran away" this past weekend. Might her departure been related to this site?
(post end)

It's hard to say that those who left Chicago UBF recently left because of the reform news. Most likely they left because their eyes were opened to the problems with the atmosphere and ministry of Chicago UBF.

Also, the reform news hasn't exactly exploded. People are still kept in the dark. In the large and small meetings I attend, the "rebels" are only denounced and insulted, the reformers' motives are distorted and propaganda is issued.

Anyway, I wouldn't have expected news of a reform movement to result in a mass exodus out of Chicago UBF. Even outside of Chicago, those who want reform aren't leaving UBF. I wouldn't expect those who have given their youth and lives to UBF to just pick up and leave. And where are they to go if they leave? Are they all going to move to the Madison chapter or Nick Timlin's house? I believe that many who are staying are praying and waiting for a UBF-wide reform to happen. If the UBF-wide reform doesn't happen and the reform chapters just split off, and SL proclaims his "victory," then some (including me) may become motivated to leave. Those who leave will probably be those who've been around long enough to have a sense of history about Chicago UBF's problems.
