With all the talk of manipulations and bad motives, people seem to be forgetting that we are all sinful human beings. ANYTHING we (humans, that is) do, therefore, will be somewhat impure.

The current UBF definitely has major problems. A reformed UBF (if there is one) will have its own set of problems. I went to a *wonderful* church in college, and it had its own set of problems. Whatever human beings get their hands on will be tainted to a certain extent.

So what am I trying to say? I am no longer in UBF and have no opinion on whether UBF can be reformed. But I know that all the best churches out there have their problems as well ... and they don't decide to dump the church altogether because they recognize problems. Because churches are made up of fallible human beings, churches will ALWAYS have problems. And if we dumped a church whenever we saw problems, there would be NO churches left.
