†-he grinned and laughed when he say her confused look; it was a light laugh, that made the trees around rustle, and birds to look up and chirp whistle at the fairie boy-† Most fairies don't understand what I mean by them singing. What I mean is, trees don't have a speaking language. When their branches move without a wind, or they bend and dance in an invisible breeze; that is their language. And if you listen closely, you can hear their songs. Some are harder to hear than others, and they all sound differently. The willowsong is a sad and stirring tune, the cherrysong and maplesong are bright and happy, and the hornbeamsong and oaksong are solomn and full of profound wisdom. †-he stroked the tree again-† Birchsongs are my favorite. To me, they seem to sing every tune; the cheerfulness of when fairie children swing on their branches, the sadness of being torn in the winter wind, and the wisdom of standing firm for ages. †-his hazel orbs had become half-lidded, and a soft smile was on his face. He shook his head and grinned sheepishly at Shadra-† I must be boring you, huh? Not many creatures care about the songs anymore. Most don't even know they still exist. It hurts the trees. They rejoice when their songs are heard.
