Subject: Freshwater for a change

I don't live on your coast, but I suppose fishing is the same everywhere.. here is my question...
I have flyfished only the saltwater here in FL so far, with only a venture or two into the boundless areas of freshwater that it has to offer. I am sick to death of catching tarpon though, and ready for a change. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on flyfishing for bass, crappie and shad. I am interested in knowing the flies, lines, retrieves, and best structures/depths/etc. to fish. Because we are in a drought condition here, the water is extremely low, even completely dried up in places, and I was also wondering if this would make a difference in when/where/how to fish it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Tammy D
