My thoughts on the Sugar Ray song...?
They should just advertise it:

"Just when you thought Sugar Ray couldn't suck any more...!"

...but maybe that's just me.

My personal opinion is this: It's okay to do a FEW cover songs. Sometimes a song is just really fun to play or sing, and I'm okay with that... But if you're going to do a cover song, why try to do it EXACTLY like the original (a la Ataris, Uncle Kracker)? You're never going to measure up to the original artist - you might as well tear it up, mix it and try to make it your own. What do you think?
