I think Colorado Springs got caught with their pants down and are running fast to try to make it look like they care---too little too late are my thoughts. While I don't particularly care for the politics from the NM Governor and his underlying reasons doing what he does, I do like it that Rodeo in NM and in general might benefit from it. NM.
In the news a day or so ago, there is a new law in New Mexico (to help Development of new businesses) that states that the State of New Mexico will pay the first year's salary of all the employees! This law will also be recognized for the PRCA and the State is planning to pay the first years salary when they get moved to New Mexico!
I doubt Colorado Springs will or can top that--surely they respect their state's taxpayers more than our governor does.

I think you're right, Julie. I think most rural and rodeo people in NM are smarter than that. This move, along with the state wide tax refund he recently handed out to every NM tax payer, looks like an attempt to kiss up for votes. He needs us, but so far I don't think it's working. - I though deal with NM was done deal. Did I miss something or just misunderstand? If it's a done deal wouldn't the PRCA be in breach of contract if they decided to back out of the deal with NM and accept another offer?     - That�s what I thought. I guess question really is, wouldn�t it be considered a breach of a verbal contract? I mean with all the former press releases saying it was a done deal wouldn�t that be grounds for it to be considered a verbal contract between the PRCA & New Mexico or with the amount of money that would be changing hands would there be no grounds for a verbal contract?       - Haha... You and me both. I had to take business law when I was in college. I hated that class! The way business law is interpreted & written really annoyed me. It's a subject in my opinion that suspends all forms of logic, responsibility and integrity. No one can covince me differently after some of the garbage cases I had to analyze for that class.
