If the committee had nothing to do with it.... then who had the POWER to claim it was to barbaric and be able to control what events are used at the rodeo??

From an article:

The Cloverdale rodeo in B.C. is one of the oldest and most prestigious stops on the CPRA tour.

Not any more.

After a calf had to be euthanized at this summer's rodeo, the bleeding hearts in the political arena put their collective foot down.

Calf roping and steer wrestling were deemed to be too barbaric and would be outlawed in the future.

The Cloverdale Rodeo Committee, which had nothing to do with the decision (which outraged many), applied to the CPRA to be sanctioned next season as a special "rough stock only" event.

That won't be happening.
