I think he came from Missouri. He moved out here when he was in HS. There's another kid born and raised here in my home town that was number 48 and spent the week in LV as an alternate but never got on. I heard he won that deal where they buck those bulls in Vegas during the week. The PBR shows he lives in Cortez, Co but he's from here. Got a girlfriend up there. There's another kid from NM that has been winning all three riding events at the HS fall rodeos and a guy told me last week that he was gonna forget about HS rodeo in the spring and go on to the PBR. He's already got his college lined up and wanting to win big money. He's really becoming a good BB and SB rider. There's several of the PBR boys that can ride the other events and it has to hurt the PRCA I think. -- RODEO RAMBLINGS

- Hap... how's that knee doing? Only thing I see about all those guys going to the PBR is the fact they only taked 45 and the 45 from the previous year have the best chance to stay in there. - I guess he'll be from California next then. Never the less, he can ride. I sure agree that PBR is hurting PRCA. Taking off too much of the talent. I don't think those kids are thinkin' this thring trough. Especially the 2 or 3 event cowboys. Simple math will tell you that you have a better chance of winning in the PRCA than the PBR even though you might not have as many chances. The other thing is the quality of the buckin' stock. The PBR bulls are so rank nobody can have a very long career riding them even if they are truly world class. Of course kids that age don't really have much of a reputation for making the best decisions in business or anything else. Ohhhh-------to be young again. Who'd care then????????
