Praise be to Allah.

Somethings in Islam need not be addressed because they deal with Common Sense. No i dont know of any ayats or hadiths to give that specificallay state u can not not stand on a Quran but common sense should tell you that part of showing respect for something means that you dont behave in a manner such as that with it.

A normal sensible person would have common sense to know that puting ones foot on a book is no way of showing respect and is also animalistic behavior exhibited by one who does not have all his or her senses.

May Allah raise our knowledge of Islam and increase our Understanding and give us common sense..Ameen!
