As Saalamu Alaikoum,

As Muslims we take our knowledge from anyone who follows the Quran and Sunnah. We do not follow anyone blindly. Anyone who follows Quran and Sunnah and provides daleel to support this is from whom we take our knoweldge from.

Examples of such men were Ibn Taimiyya, Ibn Qiyyam and most recently, Shaykh Bin Baaz, Shaykh Uthaymeen, and Shaykh Albani (may Allah bless all of them). And for me even more recent are scholars such as Shaykh Munajjid and the scholars of this website; Shaykh Morsy and Shaykh Muhammad S Adly.
