First of all, the prophet had 11 wives because Allah gave him this right. Every wife he married he married for a reason to set an example to the rest of men. Allah allowed him to have more than 4 but no one else.

Secondly, when Aisha was 9 years old she was a bleeding woman.. she was not a little girl. She was a woman with a menses able to make babies. It was not uncommon for men to marry girls at that age then, just as it is not uncommon to go into any inner city school today and you will find girls at that age who are pregnant with babies.

Just as Britany Spears, Brooke Sheilds and others were sex symbols who men lusted after when they were only 10 years old...Our Prophet(saw) never lusted anyone. He consummated his MARRIAGE to Aisha who was a grown bleeding woman at that age.
