assalam alaikum warahmathulla hi wa barrakatuhu i wanted to if it is forbiddon in Islam to have a love marriage, some poeple say it is not but how can you have a love marriage when you are not allowed to look at a strange women so abviously if i dont look at any women i cant fall in love with can i, i hope you can answer my question as soon as possible

If you are asking is it possible for one to love someone before marriage the answer is yes. Love is an emotion that varies from person to person. Some people can love a person based on their knowledge of that person even if having never met them.. for example..You can love a scholar simply because you have studied him and his work for years and then if he asks you to marry him, you marry and are already in love with him for his knowledge.

Some people can fall in love with a person immediately after meeting them.. so thus falling in love varies from person to person. The thing is to not indulge in sin. If one falls in love with a person you should then seek to marry as soon as possible to keep away the shaytaan.

In regards to seeing a person before marriage, the prophet(saw) encouraged the sahabah to see the woman before marriage. Once a man came to the prophet and told him he wanted to marry a woman from the Ansar. The prophet(saw) asked had he looked at her, for there was something about the eyes of the Ansar [Bukhari]
