Ive found a new girl to serve. She is very lovely. With the name T'vesra, I found her in the Halls. The traders had left her there, or so she said, and I could hardly believe the good luck in finding her before anyone else. She is very well trained, and willingly took her service here. She is not the cook Indigo was, but I dont suppose anyone is.
Keln was not happy of course, but I think after speaking with her, and discovering I didnt beat and drag the poor thing here, he is slowly warming up to the idea. I doubt he will ever like it much though.
He was so pissed about it, he drew blade on me, and I swear, I cannot remember the last time someone dared speak to me the way he did. I have to give him credit for daring to in the first place. There is naught to fight over though, and things have quieted down. Days are quietly spent, and I worry little over things to come. There is still an emptiness here where Indigo was, and I wonder how long that will be true. Trevor still misses her terribly. I am considering taking him to see her in the near future.
The cold is settling into my joints this winter, like it has not in some time, and I long for warmer days of spring and summer soon. I shall soon be finding a pony for Trevor to learn to ride, and Keln has promised him sword lessons.
There has been no word from The Traveler.
Ive not seen nor heard from R'Auco lately either, and I dont expect to. I am glad, for it saves me the trouble of covering Indigos ass.
Ive not seen Majidah for some time, and I expect one of her hunting forays has taken her far and wide. I wish she were around more. Keln spends much of his time at the temple, and with T'vesra caring for Trevor, I have a lot of time on my hands. I have been reading a great deal, and while Ive not been keeping up here, there hasnt been all that much to write about.
There was one noteable occassion, while I was in town seeking someone to take Indigos place. Rumor had it that one could find exactly what they wanted at the Fathers Cages, and curious, I went there. I could not say what it was that struck me odd as I went inside, but I felt that there was much more at work there than just matching servant to master. The father is quite dramatic in appearance, and his facade is without tell. He is smooth and personable, and I felt, more than a little dangerous. Like slick glass he was. Still, he offered to find what I needed, though I was saved further business with him by finding T'vesra shortly after. A thought had seeded itself however, that the man might have insight into what might protect Trevor. To broach such a subject, is nearly impossible, for any information given is too much. I still consider him as a last option, but its playing with fire I know. I wrote to him after my return to Rum Hill, begging off from our agreement, but referring him to a future meeting on other things. Gods know how in the hell I will be able to approach it, and dealing with the man is not safe in the least..but still, it could work out to my advantage.
A hot bath, a hot meal, and a warm bed calls these old bones tonight, all of which I am glad of, and in the morn, perhaps I shall go out and see about that pony if the sun shows its face.
