Definition:
separate - set or kept apart; disunited

I guess Mr. DiCarlo's comment about the hands was a little vague. I envisioned a grip with a visible gap between the hands, but as Max pointed out that may or may not be the case.

So, if I may rephrase my question(s): Has anyone tried a grip with a gap between their hands, how much of a gap did you try, and how did it work out for you?

As for Peter 'understanding everything'... I, for one, appreciate Peter sharing his knowledge with us here. He's obviously a student of the game and seems to be coming from a position of trying to help others, not the contrary.
