I know nothing about them except what I see in the infomercial. I don't doubt that the pros play better. That's why they are pros.

In many other sports, 'amateurs' bear a much closer resemblance to elite athletes when performing the sport. They don't get the same results, but the appearance is not far off. In my experience this is an indication that the fundamental technique is correct so you then work on conditioning/ strength, timing... For reasons I think Gerry Hogan begins to explain, this is not the case in golf.

Regardless of the current state of affairs, I think it is the responsibility of the teachers to get those resemblences closer with respect to fundamental aspects of the sport. This is I think the power of the Compusport system (had to get that in here:-) Of course the deltas I observed may not be considered fundamental aspects...topic for another thread.

Back on topic - when I read what Dicarlo said, I could see a set of interpretations that would lead to early loss of left arm shaft angle and left wrist breakdown which is clear in the infomercial.

I have no illusions that I understand anything perfectly. My understanding changes day to day and practice to practice. However, I am capable of comparing two photographs of people doing golf swings and say that they are either close or not close in relative positions. This is the basis for my comment.

>>> Can you break 80? Or 90?

Perhaps you were not here when I introduced myself (the post is long gone). I average in the 90s and my low score is 86. My golf goals are to play a round without loosing a ball and get excellent contact on every swing. I've come relatively close to each, but no cigar yet. In general I want to not embarrass myself when playing with clients.

The guy in the Kallasey infomercial would wipe the floors with me in a tournament, but I would still not want to swing the way he does.
