I think there are multiple schools of thought that say that is the case. In my case this did not work.

It is clear to me now that until the last few weeks I nad no idea how the release really felt. I knew what it was. I knew how it would look. I knew I did it most but not all of the time judging from ball flight. In my swing then it heppened, but weakly.

Now that I have corrected other things in my swing release does happen automatically and with great force. I have not had a problem with a weak release as long as I did the 'other' things.

The problem is that in 4 years till now my swing was not correct to support what I now think is a real release.

I am now quite sure that I have only played with 2 or perhaps 3 people in 4 years (not counting instructors) that have a real release the way I know it now.
