Try Jack Nicklaus. He says that he has no conscious thought of using his wrists. He views them as a "passive hinge"...

I was lucky. My first exposure to NG was the LOBG course. I'd not even seen the infomercial. Given that, for some lucky reason I had none of the problems understanding the swing that some seem to from watching the informercial and other sources. As you pointed out, the release is both verbally and pictorially shown in the book. It may well be too easy to overlook, but it's definitely there...
