I'm not looking for a maid, but someone to look after my child while I am in the home so I can clean,grocery shop,take a break,eat,cook dinner etc.. 3 days a week , you pick the days from whatever time you want to come morning or afternoon till 7 or 8pm. If you would like to help with lite houswork that's fine too. Easy job. We can talk about what you want an hour and make a plan from there. You'll be paid on the 15th and 31st of every month,, check,cash or whatever you prefer. In the Baltimore Sun today, 1/14, the city of Westminster Maryland has denied a zoning permit for a methadone clinic treatment center. Initially, the city issued approval for the drug treatment facility but later retracted claiming that the original evaluation was incorrect. Yet again we see that it's all talk and no action. Is there or isn't there a substance abuse and heroin problem in Carroll County and Westminster? Is there documentation present to indicate that drug overdoses, heroin addiction and criminal activity is on the rise in our community?
So once again it appears that there are other motives at work and unwillingness to recognize in the face of hard cold facts that this treatment facility is desperately needed and there probably was no valid reason for the city to take opposition and deny a zoning permit for this facility.
And, business owners and city residents don't want this "type" of facility located near them. Why? What do you fear?
This treatment facility will help addicts deal with their "disease" and make it less likely that they might commit criminal acts, theft, etc. in this community.
City of Westminster, politicians, citizens, business owners, health advocates; the time has come for all of us to make good on our talk to help this community by helping the individuals and families who are struggling with drug addiction. Let's say Yes to this treatment facility and do something that will make a difference!

I just got a letter from Adelphia that told me my cable service was modified to a new plan and oh by the way there's an increase of $7+ per month. Even better, I'm not getting anything extra or new for the extra seven dollars per month.
It was a nice letter that clearly tried to deceive. They talked about these neat value paks and customer service. Yeah right.
And, we know Adelphia is not paying the required franchise fee back to Carroll County.
I think it is quite obvious that they DO NOT care about their customers. Cable rate increases by Adelphia have come yearly and we don't get anything back.
It's time for Carroll County to dump Adelphia.

The search is on for the 2004 Miss Maryland National Teenager and Miss Maryland Junior National Teenager. Currently seeking contestants, the Maryland state pageant will be held March 5-7, 2004 in Rehoboth Beach, DE along with the Delaware state pageant. The pageant is open to teenage girls, ages 12-18 and scoring is based on interview, evening wear, academic achievement/community service and personal expression onstage. There are optional talent and essay competitions that are judged by a separate panel. There is no swimsuit competition. Two winners in two age divisions will represent Maryland at the 33rd annual Miss National Teenager Pageant to be held at Opryland USA, Nashville, TN in August 2004. Does any one have any suggestions for commuting from Westminster to DC? I don' t like to drive in that area. What are the best options for public transportation? Are there any van pools that go down. I am a Westminster resident, and as an auto mechanic, my schedule is very unpredictable. I can't join any basketball leagues because of this, I can't consistantly make games and/or practices. Where in Carroll County, preferably Wesminster, can I find a good open gym? I joined the YMCA on rt-32 here in Westminster, but the gym is VERY small, and frequently occupied w/ activitys other than basketball. PLEASE HELP!

I have been a victim of abuse in my life and abandonment. Growing in this environment led to depression, led to low self esteem, and looking out to men to give me the love I couldn't give myself. Going through many a bad men, I finally found one that really felt good. He has been my companion for the past year and a half. During this time I had a time where we were seperated and I ended up making mistakes I shouldn't have. I really hurt my man. We are back together now, everything has been better than ever. These past few weeks he has been unusually cruel and a real jerk! He says these things that just hurt and I don't know what to think or feel. I don't come home like I used to, I find myself staying out later and trying to ignor him because I don't know how to deal with this or how to talk to him. I am really feeling hurt and alone, I feel that if I reach out to him he is just going to get frustrated and I don't want to fight any more! we sat together on the beach the other night and I tried to tell him, we had a great talk and I thought we made some really great progress. We decided to see a counselor, he has healing to do from the hurt I caused him. He's affraid I am going to leave him. Well yesterday we ended up right back where we were. Right when it happened I was leaving for work and by the time I saw him next he wanted to pretend nothing had happened at all. I had such a hard time exposing the vulnerable side to me, having been abused and hurt by the men in my life that were supposed to love me. I got there, that was the only way I was going to get here and back with him, it was the only way I was going to be able to make things right on my side. Now I am scarred and feel like I need to close up again and I don't know what to do. I feel like I am talking to a wall.
