No, see below.

If the 628 chooses to concentrate all of their firepower
on the 247, that is fine. Those hexes are actually pretty
large.

But the Germans will not stand aside idle. THEY may allot
their own firepower any way that THEY choose, as well.

For example, the two 447 with the two LMG may attack at 2:1
and the half-squad can ALSO attack, at 1:3 (1:4). Other
options are available.

Close combat target choices have nothing to do with the
choices made by the other side. Everybody on both sides
must attack, in any way they choose. Also note that the
dice roll only determines the success/failure of the attack,
not any effect upon the attacking units (as that is
determined by the other side's attacks).
