OK there's an off color joke there but I ain't touching it! ;-)

I have heard that CC originally intended the showto run 5 seasons and I certainly remember talk that it might end after 5. Since I had only begun watching in eason 4 I didn't want it to end then. But it's been suppsed that everything post Season 5 is just them winging it and making stuff up as they go and padding it out. It sounds like a sound theory. CC just seemed like he didn't have any real direction in mind down the road.

Did he ever really want Samantha to be found? Were we supposed to have some and of apocalyptic war with aliens? When he wrote that pilot all those years ago did he have some kind of conclusion in mind and will what we get in The Truth be anything close to what that might have been? My thiong with where it went wrong was maing the movie separtate from the on going series. So much that was brought up in FTF wasn't dealt with in Season 6 in a sensical way.
