My question here is, what on earth does Mummy and Bill jr think of this?

I was quite shocked that she actually gave William up for adoption. Not knowing any spoilers for this ep at all it really did shock me. When I downloaded part of the finale scene where Scully tells Mulder she gave him up, my sound wasn't too good and I thought she said that she gave him back. So I had this idea that she gave him back to the aliens.
I suppose he will grow up as a farm boy and remain obscure until the big day. We'll all have to have a big get-together in 2012 lol.

I recognised the cigarette-smoking-son-of-a-bitch's son about 5 mins into the ep after seeing him. I wonder about the tear on Will's cheek though. Was that an act or the real thing. Why would Jeff be crying over Will?

So I assume that Will is not a super soldier. If he was then the mineral compound that Jeff put into him would have killed him. So would he just have been part alien and the mineral killed or dormanted the alien part in order for Will to remain normal[to others]? He didn't move his mobile at the end. Unless it wasn't a movable one, being made by the new dad and all. He tried to move it. That was obvious. But perhaps we are tricked into thinking that his powers are gone when in fact they aren't or are just dormant.
I assume jeff was really trying to protect Will from ending up like him. Nice parents. Poor Scully. Loved the crying.

Loved the DD directing. All the MS stuff. The silhouettes when Scully was examining Jeff. And there was that long shadow that looked like an alien. I must rewatch because there were alot of little subtle things that only a true Xphile would pick up. Symbolism of M and S and the whole theme of the show but I got the feeling that DD was at last releived to be allowd to show his respect for the two characters and I guess his affection for them and what their relationship has become and what it means to him. It was very plain to see that he was trying to throw in little tributes to that all along. I have more to say on this in the finale post.

A really good ep. But I must say that Scully is fat. Yes, she has certainly put on weight. I haven't seen her properly for over a year. I have seen three eps from mid season 9 and I thought she looked different but couldn't work out why. But she is definitely fatter. Her face is very chubby. Her body is still good but she doesn't have that gaunt skinny look that she has sported since S6. And her hair. Have they unredded it? It looks nearly a pink and yellow combo. Has she blond highlights or something?

Anyway, I can't wait to see how William pans out in the movie. If there ever is one.
