I really don't see Paper Hearts or Irresistible as paranormal at all. The idea of Mulder having a connection to Roche didn't really mean anything and real profilers and agents who go after serial killers often develop odd bonds with their subjects.

And in Irresistible they only threw in the part with Scully seeing the devil to add an XF touch to it. Both monsters in these eps are quite true to life...unfortunately.
