We tried to switch to Verizon for DSL, but unfortunately they couldn't provide the service promised and we had to reactivate our account with US online. My husband took a half day off of work to meet the installer - who never showed up but told the main office that he did, necessitating another half day off for my husband for a second installation appointment as WE had "missed" the first appointment. No phone call, no note by the way from the installer who said we weren't home. Now our home email has been down for almost two weeks with no estimate from US Online when that will be fixed. We can't even ascertain whether they know what the problem is nor not. When the service works it's fine - but when it doesn't there is an extreme lack of customer service and I feel like our hands are tied. If I could I would never deal with this company again - but unfortunately our main power as a consumer - the ability to take our $$ elsewhere if we get shabby service is not an option here. I can't believe that we are the only ones having these types of problems with US online. I wish we had some choice or ability to affect this situation.
