Whether it is a good thing or not I don't really know (in my own life I am pretty wary about looking up what happened to girls I used to have a thing for); but it is not at all difficult to find out what happened to Nick (Nicholas G) Hardesty up to 2019, and it seems he did indeed stay in the Merchant Navy - if you DO want to learn just a tiny bit more, you can see it at <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/people/meet-the-man-who-went-from-being-a-dj-in-turkey-to-harbourmaster-of-portsmouths-port-1306153.">https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/people/meet-the-man-who-went-from-being-a-dj-in-turkey-to-harbourmaster-of-portsmouths-port-1306153.</a> There is even a photo, though from behind! I should say I have no connection with Nick, but I do have some experience with looking people up (for family tree purposes) and, as I say, it is NOT really too difficult to do it, TBH.
