Justoith carefully shielded her next words. That young woman was a HAD, she was sure of it.
Nagiana.. Justoith wheedled.
What? Nagiana asked amiably.
Hollis's a HAD. Just keep talking to her, please? Nagiana didn't react visibly to Justoith's words. She had enough shocks during childhood to learn how to keep a straight face.
Can she hear you now? Nagiana asked curiously.
She better not. Justoith said, oddly grimly. Or else I'm not a very good dragon. Nagiana smiled slightly.
I'm sure she can't. You're pretty good at shielding. I'll keep talking.. so don't you start again. Nagiana teased slightly.
"You're Hollis, right? And that's Sunitie?" Nagiana chattered on, watching the gold flit. "My own fire lizard is off somewhere. He usually only comes when he's hungry. Or when I really need his company. My twin's flit is much more people-friendly." Nagiana continued on, not truly caring if Hollis actually comprehended her words. "My brother's N'gan. He rides brown Datith. Were you at Kinia's first Hatching? That's when we both Impressed. N'gan's green's very sociable. What about you, Sunitie? Do you like people?" Nagiana found it relatively easy to talk to the gold fire lizard. After all, Sunitie seemed to be responding to her words more then Hollis. Ah, well. "Do you have any family? My other sister, Varda, Impressed at Minerva Weyr." Nagiana wasn't exactly sure if Hollis would answer her question. But Justoith seemed pleased that she was trying. What she did for that green...
