Subject: Loyola an attractive place for a coach?
In reply to: MJF 95 's message, "Re: Dave Dickerson" on 14:06:37 02/14/03 Fri

Don't underestimate the potential or attractiveness of Loyola's program.

In you favor: 1) a very good school, 2) great campus and 3) proximity to some great talent.

Questions: 1) does the Loyola admin want Loyola to win and 2) is the athletic budget realistic to win. I suspect the answer to both is "yes", ergo, Loyola is an attractive program for an up-and-comer and assistant at a major program who wants to make his mark.

The inability for Hicks to make an impression is confusing. I am from the Albany area and he did a good job at UAlbany.

I would be very surprised if the names mentioned and many others were not interested. Loyola simply has the necessary assets to win, the question will simply be is there a nexus with the "will" to win; if so, the future is bright.
