"it would be completely impossible to obtain as long as you are married."

I believe Terry would be unable to obtain child support even if she got divorced. Her ex-husband would still be the legal father and therefore liable for maintenance payments and eligible for visitation rights.

I'm not sure if David Blunkett actually had a legal entitlement to see the child that resulted from him having an affair with someone else's wife. I know they've come to some sort of an agreement, but I'm not sure he had any rights whatsoever.

(David Blunkett is Britain's former home secretary btw, who is the bio-father of a married woman's child, and appeared to be the bio-father of her second child, until it was born, and DNA tests showed he wasn't. )

btw, I find it very unlikely that Terry got pregnant because she switched from artificial to "natural" insemination. Everyone seems to assume that what they did different the last time made the different, whether it's vitamins, acupuncture, a different size syringe or whatever. I believe that it's just random. I've also seen a report of someone who got pregnant the first cycle with AI, after trying "natural" for a year.
