"Well, my sister and I- or more so, myself, I'd just drag her along with me- we'd go out, exploring the depths and corners of pern. I could rock-climb nearly as good as any dragon. But anyway,"

She apused, holding her breath at the sight of the eggs, letting out a dissapointed sigh before continuing. " It was a bright enough day, and I was excited, because the week before, I had found a new place. Nearly as big as this Weyr- in fact, I'm sure we could've changed that rock bowl in a Weyr- and it had a few caves and such, so we explored them. It was late afternoon when we decided to make the way back home, and then, without warning, came the Thread."

"We were halfway home when the silver strands landed around us, and panicing, noticing we were still VERY far from our cothold, Secri (she's my twin, but her real name's Secriaye) pulled me under the ledge."

She grinned, shaking her head. "She was always the sensible one."

"And then, came our goldrider, like, like an angel riding on a sign of hope. We were seven then, I beleive."

She grinned at the memories, then blushes somewhat. "Oh, I'm sorry! I must be talking WAY too much!"
