Subject: hating characters!

hi! i just read on the stranger things forum that the cordy-hater came out! i can't understad why people can hate characters that much. i mean i never watched buffy, and started to watch angel, when it was on it's second season. i started to watch it because i found charisma carpenter and alexis denisof very entertainig. now of course i love angel&cordy. i heard that the relationship betw. b/a was amazing, but it's over for 3 years now and i read that buffy has another love interest now(spike). but it seems to me, fans(?) accept spike more than they accept cordy. i just wonder why?

I think most people that hate Cordy feel like she's a threat in some way to their ship, which is kinda a compliment when you think about it, although it pisses me off quite heartily as well to hear people complain about her. I think the rest, the ones that hate her and arn't a shippper in some way, are just intimidated by strong women. Cause let's face it, Cordy's go the kick as# feminity that is right up front and personal, like she don't care if anybody's looking or not cause she's going to rule the world anyway!!:)

I think the people don't hate Spike as much as they do Cordy, because he's not as big of threat.

Spike is just Buffy's play thing, no real love connection so he's not in the way of B/A.

Now Cordelia, on the other hand, is a huge threat. Angel's in love with her, and B/Aer's are upset.

What I don't get though is that Angel loves her, she doesn't return the sentiment yet these people blame her and call her a bitch. She didn't ask Angel to love her, she didn't knowingly get in the way of Angel ever going back to Buffy (but thank god she did).
