I am disgusted at the fact that MUC is promoting the "nip tuck" and that it is simply accepted and expected of the winners now. We have such beautiful women in canada, what is the point in having to make them change. i understand the desire to win, but to promote the fact that miss canada is not quite perfect enought the way she is is disgusting. Denis asked me my first question in my interview "what do you think about plastic surgery" and im sure if i had said yes, i would have placed better than top 10. But no way would i have agreed to what he would have asked...i agree with personal decisions to change if you want to...but not to be pressured into it by an organization that only cares about you for a crown. Canada needs to stand up against this and stop letting Denis represent us!

in response to vancouver: you must be very naive to this level of professional beauty pageant industry. This is a norm to have work done. If you make the choice to run for a national title that could lead to a universe title you need to be prepared for the option of surgery or cosmetic enhancements. If people do not agree with this than I suggest you look towards a different industry. Backlashing Denis is pointless you might as well backlash practically every national director of MU level... have you researched any of the beauty queen in Venezuela for example?? Why is their success rate so high? Yes great wardrobe, media and interview training but there are also ALOT of physical changes. Even in your pageant recycled contestants had come back with work done whether it be teeth veneers, noses, small boob jobs, botox, body shaping treatments... whatev face it.. it's NORMAL and praised! To Vancouver: If you had won MUC you would not have had time to have had plastic surgery and to recover in time for MU. Having surgery takes time and planning w/ a surgeon, and lots of additional time to recover. The question he asked you in the interview is a very generic pageant question that every pageant asks. Its to discover if you can answer a poltically charged question eloquently and w/o offending anyone. Think "Carrie Prejean" at Miss USA. (NT)Karen10:38:34 08/03/10 Tue
