Subject: I was trying to find a photo of our Canadian winner and found a link to the pageant director, Leon Failz (Leon Epic Failz) (btw, I think he has a hacker on his page who changed his name and update status, lol). Have a look at what people have been writing on his facebook wall before he has a chance to erase the posts. Sounds like a big time scam artist! Because in spite of the fact that he stole everyone's money, lied, cheated and used us all for his own personal gain, we persevered and had a spectacular Pageant. I will never forget how we all came together and did such a great show.......I love the good people of Jamaica! How was it? The show was perfect, in spite of the fact that Leon Williams stole the money, paid no one who worked on the event and then disappeared with everyone's money. Subject Author Date From what I understand, Leon was hired by Miss United Nation as the international director to organize the event in Jamaica. I dont believe anything he did reflects on the international pageant. As far as I understand they were taken too, but we also have to give opportunity to let the dust settle, remember there is always fall out after a pageant. Hoping for details from those who were there soon. Will keep you all posted :) I found one photo of all the winners at some point last night. I will try to find it again and post it. There are alot of people talking about what a crappy guy this is, and how he didn't pay the hotel or something along those lines, but what EXACTLY happened? Leon was the national host, Cathy owns the pageant. I 'believe' Leon bought the franchise rights to hold the event in Jamaica, was supposed to arrange hotel, food, events, either by sponsorship or to pay for himself with delegates entry fees. Naturally some of the fees would go to the head office as they supply the crowns and sashes but from what I understand he didnt pay the hotel bill and it is questionable if the delegates were fed. From what it sounds like he vanished halfway through & the delegates, and others pulled teh show together in spite of his actions. Im not sure how much of a role Cathy, the owner played in making sure the event came off successfully either but it seems as though one of the delegates really wants to blame her as well. I worked very closely with the girls to help them get there since thier 'director' dropped out of sight instead of coming through as promised. As I said, they had a wonderful experience, but the host/director who was responsible for the event in Jamaica really dropped the ball. I have no doubt that the pageant owners were unaware of his lack of organization but it was in fact less than what they would have expected for thier brand.
