Hi Jim. Looks pretty slow here too. Just got back to Abbotsford for a visit. I'm also waiting for my Infinium to arrive. Sent it in to get some coils fixed & the control box updated. Just got myself a couple of claims & plan to detect them. Have to see if my buddy has what it takes to detect for nuggets. If not, I'll be using my modified Cobra II. I just might get my mom to sell my GTI 1500 for me so that I can get a Cointrax II Baron. My modded Cobra II gets unreal depth in our tough soil. Still, having once had a peek into the innards of a GSP, I can see that it might have a lot of potential. There's a whole heap of potentiometers in there.. if only there was a way to find out what they each affect. It seems to me that many machines out there are kinda "detuned" for the average "Joe Blow" detectorist that doesn't want to deal with the chatter associated with running a detector on the edge. When I sent in my Infinium I told them I was using it with the 8" mono coil & thought it was great. They were very surprised that I could even detect with it (hadn't been mono upgraded). I dunno, different strokes & all that stuff....Willy.
