Trapper---

I know just enough about the MXT as a nuggethunter to be "dangerous."

I have used it just enough to be "familiarized." You might
find the 4x6-inch DD "shooter" to give the MXT a more stable
threshold in some of the more mineralized areas.

The 950 is too cumbersome. About 15-years ago I used the Eagle-II with both the 6-inch circular concentric as well as the "stacked" eliminator.

Just my opinion. Jim McC. will likely give more details.
(Howdy Jim, try to stay dry--- lightening and thunder as I post this. Great granddaughter all wide-eyed, her grandma just picked her up to take her home to my granddaughter.)
