Subject: I am starting to wonder if I'm crazy...Just got back from Randsburg again...

Have you ever thought to yourself, "I must be crazy out here all alone diggin up trash."??? I drove out to Randsburg again today. Checked out a antique store and the museum. The lady at the museum told me where the Lost Dutchmans Mining Club was so I drove out there and talked to the caretaker. He didn't give me much info just a few pamplets on the club. I didn't have alot of daylight left so I drove off and jumped out a few miles west of there off the road where there was tail piles and started detecting. I detected around the bushes. I figured if there was quartz on the ground maybe a nugget could be found. I dug up about thirty targets half bullets and half shell casings. I am not finding any bird shot, maybe my MXT won't detect that small. Anyways... I had this terrible feeling come over me while I was out there. I was thinking to myself, "god I must be crazy out here all alone digging up trash." And, "If this is such a great Idea then why am I the only idiot out here right now?"
Here's another one that hit me, "I wonder if these guys are making more money selling gold detectors than finding gold." I think I know the answer to that one. Thoughts kept going through my mind out there but I am not ready to give up yet. I know there has got to be some golds in them there hills somewhere. I know I'm not going to strike it rich but I do believe I can find a nugget with a detector if I can hang in there. Hey, I still get a thrill from finding a penny in a park. (Copper ones that is :) Oh my god, I am crazy... Then again maybe I'm normal and everyone else is crazy... Yes that explains it, thats why I
was the only one out there in the middle of the desert today... because everyone else is crazy. I'm glad I got this all figured out. Anyone want to buy a almost new MXT?

JUST KIDDING!

Never give up! Never surrender!

Happy hunting
