Hi Jim,
I used a 15" on an 17000 and found the 32khz a bit too high. I always thought the 20khz and smoother GB on the 18000 would've worked well with the 15", but never got the chance to try it. I personally think VLF's should be left to find the smaller bits, and work best with smaller coils.

What's your opinion on the Eureka Ace Dual? It was minelab's only manual GB VLF gold machine with a "higher" frequency. Wouldn't ming gicing one a historic "test" drive!

Yes you must take the time to set the 2100's GB knobs. Have you experimented with setting one or both of the channels slightly positive??
