Bob, you are quite right; more than one nugget might be in that hole! My wife and I were detecing one day, and I needed a photo for my then-upcoming latest book. As I was focusing on her, she stopped, and concentrated on one spot; obviously, she was getting a signal. I told her to hold still, I snapped the shot, and went over to her to watch her dig it. A wheat grainer (i.e. about 4 grain nugget). After getting it, she begain to dig deeper. She said "The signal was too strong for such a small nugget." She was right; a couple of inches deeper was a 50 grainer. Check all them holes twice! HH Jim
