There seem to be some holes in the story as it is reported at that link......

"It was quite hot"...... ?

It "looked rusty" on one side.....?


A fresh fall should be neither. The texture of the piece in the photos looks a little odd too. Meteorites are very seldom as coarse as what is shown.

But who knows........ :)
