Randy--- in the general area which I pointed out there must still be regional lunkers of about an ounce or better size.
I used my SD-2200d with the 11-inch DD and also the Coiltec concentric several days with no results other than trash.

Over the "hill," near the Antelope claim off of Osdick has been where I last found several smaller nuggets. The "full-timers" really hunted this broad area hard. Somewheres here Terry Bone reportedly found about 3-nuggets with a total combined weight of over 0ne-ounce. This was on his way up to w. Nevada where he met his destiny at "Pronto Crossing" just afterward.

Suggestion; bury and setup on a Jefferson nickel and work the caliche areas as much as possible. Work around the greasewood on the slopes above the small washes as it may have not been as well hunted by earlier detectorists, but try to stay in or near the main-channel old workings where there has been prior digging.

It is hit and miss detecting. Unfortunately I miss more than I hit--- have you ever heard of "Midge" Seapy?, she always hits and has done quite well the past few years. Uses both old and new Gold Bugs; successfully.
