Subject: First impressions of new "Mini DD" coil from White's

Okay gang, here tis', my first impressions of the new "Mini DD" coil from White's: WONDERFUL! It is really small, kinda reminds you of a child's shoe. Very light, very manueverable, just the ticket for "crowded areas." Although I haven't really tested it as thoroughly as I would like, I found, at the same power settings, that it air tests at about 90% as "deep" as the standard DD coil. Thus, it gets the same depth as the Hot Foot. As far as sensitivity to REALLY small nuggets is concerned, frankly it SMOKES the standard DD, finding small nuggets that the standard DD totally misses. Really. In fact, I found that the Mini DD I took out of stock (yep, got my shipment today; so new, they haven't printed up the labels yet) was even SLIGHTLY more sensitive on MINUTE nuggets than my Hot Foot. I cannot yet comment on the difference the Mini DD's resistance to false signalling; that will have to wait until I use it in the field. It retails for $149.95, same price as the larger DD.
