You are right about the interference problem. Fisher has modified the frequence of my Gold Bug to about 18.4, but still didn't work as hoped. I used the Compass Gold Scanner Pro. Only one other in the group had a GSP and we stayed on opposite ends.

Burt in the creek by sight and Otis in the path on the way up to the workings. Jim Whipple did great with Goldmaster II; however, in this group Ray Thompson with an old Garrett ground-hog did the best of all.

Your observation about the "bank" right-on! It was a true-bank--- with bankers hours.

I sent my Stinger into Garrett repair and it came back last week. Cost me about $123 for repair, new coil and other internal problems. My Stinger is the 23rd manufactured. Model 11942. S/N 0023-023. I suspect "11942" a date of manufacture code. It fits loose in a Minelab 16-17-18000 chestmount bag, and the coil box looks like new. I found the Stinger was about the best in some of the contact metamorphic areas around Eagle Mountain (Kaiser iron ore) and Pinto Basin that contained nuggets of detectable size.

I remember reading the article, but didn't hook you up with it. You did good. I last saw Lucy at Federation event, Laughlin, last November. Lucy, Betty Weeks, and Kay Modgling were the three-musketeers in detecting.
