Really great, Randy. Dug one deep signal, met some really nice Chinese folks. (Just kidding!) As far as being a prospecting machine, the MXT is a GMT operating at 14.7 kHz rather than 48 kHz. Which means, of course, that there are some slight differences in overall performance. The GMT finds smaller nuggets, but the MXT handles "bad" ground a bit better, and gets a bit more depth on the deeper targets. With the optional 6.75 inch Shooter Mini DD coil, the MXT finds smaller flakes than would the GMT using the standard 10 inch DD. What is really amazing is the 950 loop on the MXT can find 1/4 grain flakes (really!!!!) and can do so about 1/2 inch deep in my soil. As for depth, the MXT with the 950 loop beats the GMT with the standard DD. I recommend getting BOTH the Mini DD and standard 950 coil when buying the MXT. As for being a coin machine, the MXT has no equal, outperforming everything else I have ever used. In the discriminate mode I can get a decent signal on a dime buried fully 9 inches into the ground, nothing else I have used could get more than 6 inches (in my soil). The demand is so great for MXT's that White's is having a hard time making them fast enough. I have already sold out the first three shipments I got. The MXT is without rival as a truly multi-purpose detector. HH Jim
