Hi Steve,

I own two nugget detectors and probably unlike most folks mine are from the same manufacturer. I bought the Diablo Umax a few years back right about the time they were being discontinued and the LST was purchased last year.
When I was searching the market for a nugget detector(first one) I was still living in Texas and could only make occasional quick trips to Az to nugget-shoot. My main reason for choosing the Diablo Umax was weight cause I knew with my limited time I would want to swing ALL day and I'm not fond of body mounting detectors.
I also like to hunt for relics and coins so I figured the LST would be a good choice AND at the same time would serve as a back up nugget detector! The LST seems to do well most of the time although I have noticed it stammering in some ground a little.
To be honest with ya'll I have never tried a White's or Fisher gold detector and have a question for you seasoned veterans :>) It was my impression(through reading) that the Whites and Fishers could detect the smaller pieces at the expense of listening to a lot more ground noise?? HH!

Randy
