"There's thirteen of you here already so we'll just begin now. The first group will be Nadia, Kirby, T'ni, C'rey, M'ron and V'ken. The second will be Ch'zez, H'nah, George, S'las, S'vedin, S'kra and A'lia. The first group will be in charge of cleaning up the outside training area and around the lake. The second will clean the inside training area and other common areas in the Barracks. This will switch after a time."

"Now, first all of you need to learn the general care and feeding of you're dragon. I suspect you would already know that your dragons are carnivores: they eat meat and meat alone, so no trying to feed them a salad. Second, you cannot let you're dragon gorge themself. This inhibits their flying, and they may be able to get themselves off the ground. Lastly, dragons cannot go between on a full stomach. Remember these guidelines well and there will not be any sick weyrlings."

"Everyone needs to go into their bed area after I finish. At the end of your bed there is a trunk. In it you will find a bottle of oil and some cleaning items for your dragon. There is also a set of gear for each of you and straps. Get the oil and cleaning supplies and regroup at the lake. You're going to learn how to wash and oil your dragons."
