Week Seven: 10 Miles!!!!!!!

Weird. I don't know what happened to the entries for weeks 4 and 6. I typed them. I posted them. They were there. Now they're not. Oh well. Last week was an 8-mile run and it went really well.

Today was my first double-digit run: 10 miles!! Yes, TEN MILES! I don't even DRIVE that much during a week.

It was an absolutely beautiful day to run. No humidity; partly cloudy; cool temps. We've really lucked out with having no rain so far.

It would have been a great run, except that a muscle in my upper thigh (quad? groin? I don't know muscles.) started bothering me around mile 5, like I'd pulled it or something. That made the rest of the run fairly hellish, but I made it through. Then I came home, scarfed down lots of protein, and crashed for a 4-hour nap. Ahhh. Woke up stiff and achy, but I did run 10 MILES!

Next week: 12 Miles!
