Kay: Yeah John..baby...
Me: Awww boo, why didn't you tell me sooner?
Kay: I don't know..I guess I didn't think you were really ready or wanted one..yet.
Me: No baby,I'm happy.(kisses her)
Kay: You are?
Me: Yeah...
Okay it's like this, I was happy about becoming a father and at the same time I was a lil scared and not ready. I didn't know how to be a daddy. I wasn't fit to be nobody's father ri now for plenty of reasons. I didn't have a real job, and I wasn't responsibe enough to be a father. Hell I neva even had a father of my own.
Kay: Jiz baby!
Jiz:[snappin' out his daze] Huh, what?
Kay: I been callin' yo name and you was like zoned out or whateva. Is somethin' on yo mind?
Jiz:......
At School wit Clara, Zane, Danielle, and Jett
Clara: So I'll meet yall at the mall afta I drop Danielle off.
Jett: Okay.
Zane: Aye y'all can count me out for today. I just remembered I got somethin' to do.
Jett: Aiight man.
Zane: So Danielle, when do you wanna start on our project for music class?
Danielle: I don't know. maybe tomorrow or somethin'?
Zane: Coo.
Danielle: Okay.
Clara: What kind of project y'all gotta do?
Danielle: We have to work in teams of 2 and come up wit our own songs.
J/C: Oh fo' real.
Clara: That professor Holland alwayz assignin' projects.
D/J/Z: Really.
Jett: Well Clara I guess I'll see you at the mall.
Clara: Okay.
D/C: Bye.
J/Z: One.
Danielle & Clara
Danielle: Thanks Clara.
Clara: No prob. You and David a good time tonite.
Danielle: Thanks. See ya tomorrow.
Clara: Bye.
Danielle got out the car and goes inside the house. Clara heads for the mall to meet Jett.
Clara's P.O.V
What was I doin' meetin' some guy at the mall when I am supposed to be wit Lamz? This was wrong, but then again he stayed out in the street til all hours of the night and left me home alone without even thinking twice. No there was nothin' wrong wit my goin' to the mall wit Jett. I mean we were just friends. But damn he was fione. What am I sayin'?
I got to the mall, parked my car, and walked to the front entrance of the mall where I found Jett waitin' on me.
Jett: Hey. I was startin' to think you had stood me up.
Me[laughs]:Nah, I wouldn't do that.
Jett: Coo, so lets go.
Me: Okay.
Me and Jett went inside the mall.
Chelle and Nelly
[from Nelly's view]
I thought I'd go pick my daughter up from her after school program. Especially since I hadn't done that in a while. I know she'll be surprised to see me. She thought her mami was comin to get her.
Me: Hi I'm here to pick up Anda'Shaiyana Haynes.
Girl: Well how old is she?
Me: She's 5.
Girl:[lookin at a chart] Go right through those doors. And to your left. It's the first door on the left.
Me: Aiight thanx.
Girl: No problem.
I went where she told me to go and I looked in the room and there was my daughter. She was playing with a lil boy when he kissed her on her cheek. I watched to see what she would do.
Shai:[wippin her cheek off] Boy don't be kissin me wit yo nasty self.
Boy: Why? I thought you liked it when I kissed you.
Shai: I ain't neva liked it when you kissed me. Why you think I'm foreva pushin you away when you do it? Them ain't no lub taps boy.
I stood there and laughed at her. She was tellin this lil boy off. Yeah she mos def had her mami's attitude. I was glad she wasn't lettin any ole nigga kiss on her though.
Boy: Well fine. You ain't my girl no mo.
Shai: Boy I ain't neva want ta be yo girl. I'm wit Rasheed anywayz.
And she walked away to go sit wit her girl friends. That's when I walked in the room.
Me: Shai Shai you ready to go?
Shai:[running to me] Daddy!!!!!!! I thought mami was comin to get me?
Me: Yeah well I decided to come and get you since yo mami needed to rest.
Shai: Coo. Can we go get some ice cream?
Me: After dinner yeah.
Shai: Man...aiight then.
We went back home and Chelle was in the kitchen fixing dinner. I can't remember the last time I've ever seen her look this good. But I also can't remember the last time we made love like that too.
Shai: Hi mami.
Chelle: Hi baby. [kisses her cheek] How was school?
Shai: It was aiight. Some lil boy kept kissin me though. But I set him straight.
Me: Yeah and she got herself a lil boyfriend now too.
Chelle: Oooo Shai. Lil hot mama. [laughs]
Shai: Daddy why you tellin my business like dat?
Me: Girl you ain't got no business. As long as you under my roof and under age...yo business is my business. Understand?
Shai: Uh huh.
Chelle: Y'all dinner is ready so go wash up for dinner.
Shai: Mami do I have to?
Chelle: Yes girl. You just came in from outside and playin in that germ infested school so yes you have to go wash up.
Shai: Ok.
Chelle: Ok then. Now scoot.
Shai and I went into the bathroom to wash their hands and then came out and sat at the table. We ate the dinner Chelle cooked, fried chicken, collard greens, cornbread, macaroni and cheese, and a baked potato with sour cream, butter, cheese, and bacon bits. I can't remember when I've seen food like this. I guess that's why she stayed so thick. She was always eatin somethin like this.
Later on that night[Chelle's p.o.v]...After dinner we all watched a little televison before putting Shai to bed. Nelly tucked her in and checked for things she had convinced herself were there. I just laid in my bed listening to them and laughing. When everything had finished her turned on her Scooby Doo night light[yes my baby was a HUGE Scooby Doo fan] and cracked her door. He came back into our room and laid next to me and held me in his arms.
Me: Did Shai go back to sleep?
Nelly: Yeah. After I convinced her that there were no big scary green monster under her bed waiting to get her.
We both laughed remembering the times we would be scared of something when we were younger.
Me: That girl is somethin else.
Nelly: Yeah. Just like her mama. [kisses me]
We fell asleep just like that that night. I can't remember when I was this happy with him. It had been a very long time since we'd laughed and kissed each other like that. I'm just glad we're back to it.
I had to add this part in from hours and hours of puttin it off....MY BAD....LOL
