Subject: FLAWLESS!!!!

It was an early Saturday morning and the sun was already up and warming the racetrack. A trailer pulled up infront of the barn and Jenny jogged out to meet it. Brandon climbed out and they went to the back. Jennifer had decided to buy a 2nd race horse. She didn't want to get carried away, but this one had looked perfect. A gorgeous dapple gray filly stepped off the trailer, nostrils flared & eyes wide as she surveyed her new home. The 3 y/o was tall and wellbuilt. Jenny led her to the barn and put her in the stall. Jenny & Brandon got Flawless settled in to her new home, introducing her to the other horses, her stall, the people, leading her around the barn and the track. Jenny groomed her and lunged her for the next 2 days, then on the 3rd day she saddled up and grabbed her helmet & crop. They walked to the track and Flawless let out a shrill, happy whinny. The pretty filly had raced twice, winning both times easily. Brandon gave Jen a leg up and let go of the reins. Flawless pranced onto the track, ears pricked, eyes wide, and neck arched as she danced daintly down the track. Jennifer settled into her seat, pushing down her heels and gathering the reins firmly. They walked around the oval several times, then trotted. Flawless had long, smooth strides that ate up the ground, even at the trot! Then Jenny let the reins out a notch and the filly surged into a spirited canter, stepping lightly down the track. Jennifer crouched in the saddle, keeping the reins tight. They wouldn't gallop until tomorrow. Flawless, eager to run, jerked at the reins but finally behaved. After cantering around several times, they put Flawless up, pleased with her progress.
