There is a very high probability of a "silent quake" occurring in the southern CA area the next 3 to 51 hours (from posting time). Some sophisticated earthquake precursor instrumentation has picked up ULF signals indicating the event window. It will remain to be seen exactly what the effects of this "silent" quake are, but I am sure we'll start to notice shortly.

Silent quakes were just recently discovered, in Hawaii in 2000, scientists discovered after the fact that a large segment of land had moved, but so slowly that only GPS was able to pick it up.
